Chattam & Wells Features 12-¾ Gauge Double Offset Innerspring Unit Heavy-duty wire provides durability. Double-offset or Flat-sided coils create a hinging action that provides contouring to the shape of your body.This type of innerspring allows us to use an abundance of luxurious padding without sacrificing support. Zoned, with more coils in the center third for improved back support.   Royal European Dual Encased Unit Available on the meticulously crafted ultra-premium Royal European models, this features a German-engineered wrapped coil, the Royal European Dual Encased Innerspring provides an extraordinary European-style feel. Each row of wrapped coils is supplemented by a row of smaller coils - also completely wrapped - in between each regular sized coil.

Unique Chattam Edge
A series of uniquely configured foam inserts allow you to sit on the edge of the bed; it won't feel like it is collapsing. Increases the area that you have to sleep by allowing the entire surface of the mattress to be used. More sleeping surface means less tossing and turning and a better night's sleep!

Innertufted Cotton
Innertufting is an old world process whereby the cotton layer is attached to the innerspring units with small buttons over the surface of the cotton layer. This keeps upholstery from shifting and provides a superior base for the other padding that is used in the mattress. Cotton, a natural fiber, is the best insulator for upholstered products and minimizes noise.

 

Anti-Bacterial Cashmere
Cashmere is a luxurious fiber that maintains loft better than polyester fills alone, pulls moisture away from the body, warms to the body's temperature and enhances the overall comfort and luxury of the mattress. Blended with premium polyester, the anti-bacterial treatment of our mattresses inhibits the development of dust mites and other airborne allergens.

 

Belgian Damask Ticking
Ticking is the fabric that covers the mattress and the foundation. Chattam & Wells ticking is treated with an antimicrobial finish to prevent the development of dust mites and airborne allergens.

 

Embroidered Handles and Solid Metal Corner Guards
The attention to detail in a Chattam & Wells bed ensures that you are receiving the highest quality product. The handles are meticulously sewn in so they will not pull out and the corner guards are made of solid metal, not plastic like other beds. Both have lifetime warranties.

 

Hand Crafted, 8 Way Hand Tied Foundation
The 8 way hand-tied foundation is an all-coil design where lacing runs the full length and width of the foundation to simultaneously provide floating support and lateral stability at the top of each coil. Chattam & Wells craftsmen lace each coil using imported Italian Twine. This design allows the weight that is applied to the unit to be distributed evenly throughout the foundation.
