The chair is reclined by simply pushing back on the arms. From the TV position, push back on the arms again to the full recline position. The Cloe is a great lady's recliner and is covered in a versatile and durable 100% polyester micro-fiber. Simple roll arms are sure to correlate with most upholstery.
